Electrical Fire Knocks Out Traffic Light in Montgomery Township

Crews from the Fire Department of Montgomery Township are currently at the scene of an electrical fire at the intersection of Welsh Road and Bell Run Blvd.

According to our sources, crews were dispatched at 1:50 p.m. for a report of a transformer fire. No injuries have been reported.

The transformer fire has knocked out power in the area, including disabling the traffic light at Knapp Road and North Wales Road. Montgomery Township Police are currently on scene, directing traffic through the intersection, according to our source.

Though the road has not been closed, motorists should avoid the area or expect delays.
