Hatfield Police Announce Arrest of Two Fugitives

The Hatfield Township Police Department has announced the arrest of two men who were wanted on separate arrest warrants.

Bilal Akil Johnson, 29, of Lansdale

Johnson was wanted on charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property, stemming from an incident that occurred on Feb. 7. Police arrested Johnson on March 27, and he was then arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine, who set bail at $1,000 cash.

Johnson was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail. His next scheduled court appearance is a preliminary hearing in front of Judge Levine on April 3 at 9:45 a.m.

Nicholas Tran, 33, of West Palm Beach, Florida

Tran was wanted on charges of recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment, in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 30, 2018. Police arrested Tran on March 27, and he was then arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine, who set bail at $20,000 unsecured.

Tran was then released from custody. His next scheduled court appearance is a preliminary hearing in front of Judge Levine on April 16 at 10:15 a.m.
