Teen Airlifted After Falling Down Embankment on Route 202 Parkway

A 15-year-old male was airlifted early Sunday morning, after he fell down an embankment on the Route 202 near Terrace Way in Montgomery Township.

According to Montgomery Township Police Chief Scot Bendig, the teen was walking along the bike path when he suffered a medical condition and fell down the embankment. Reports indicate that the victim was unconscious when first responders arrived, and he was later airlifted via JeffSTAT to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment of injuries, according to Bendig.

The victim has since been released from the hospital.

Montgomery Township Police were assisted on scene by the Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Lansdale Volunteer Medical Services Corps and JeffSTAT.
