Lansdale Man Killed in Nockamixon Motorcycle Crash

Authorities have released the identities of two men that were killed in Nockamixon Township on Sunday afternoon, after a pickup truck drove into oncoming traffic and struck their motorcycles head-on.

Vincent Nielsen, 54, of Lansdale, and Stephen Yothers, 54, of Perkasie, were both pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report by Kayla Dwyer at The Morning Call. The report states that both men were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

Reports indicate that shortly after 2 p.m., a Ford pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Kaitlyn Butler, of Emmaus, was traveling southbound on Route 412 when she struck a small ditch on the right side of the road and over-corrected her vehicle into the northbound lane, causing the head-on crash just north of the intersection with Church Hill Road.

Butler was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital—Cedar Crest with minor injuries, and her passenger, 19-year-old Keith Dailey, of Kearneysville, was taken to an area hospital for observation.

The crash remains under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
