Police Blotter: Aggravated Assault, Burglary and Receiving Stolen Property Incidents

The following is a list of recent felony arrests made throughout the North Penn area.

Aggravated Assault in Lansdale

Nicholas Pennabaker, 24, of Sellersville, is facing felony aggravated assault and strangulation charges, as well as misdemeanor simple assault and recklessly endangering another person charges, in connection with an incident that occurred in Lansdale Borough on Feb. 25.

Pennabaker reportedly got involved in a verbal altercation with the victim, whom he then assaulted and choked, according to the criminal complaint. The victim sustained injuries to their neck, forehead and legs as a result of the assault, the report states.

Pennabaker was arraigned on March 7 by Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine, who set bail at $10,000 unsecured. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on March 26 at 1:15 p.m. in front of Judge Levine.

Receiving Stolen Property in Lansdale

James Cox, 51, of Lansdale, is facing a felony receiving stolen property charge, as well as a misdemeanor receiving stolen property charge, stemming from two separate incidents that occurred on the same day.

In the first incident, Cox was allegedly caught driving a blue Dodge Ram pickup that had been reported stolen out of Philadelphia, according to the criminal complaint. A second report was filed later that day, in which Cox was found to be in possession of a medication that was allegedly stolen from a neighbor’s house, the report states.

Cox was arraigned on both incidents on March 9 by Magisterial District Judge Karen Zucker, who set bail at $1,000 cash for the medication and $5,000 cash for the stolen truck. He was then remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail.

His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on April 2 at 9:45 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine.

Burglary Incident in Hatfield

Matthew Scott Fuller, 32, of Hatfield, is facing felony burglary, stalking and criminal trespass charges, as well as misdemeanor and summary harassment charges, in connection with an incident that occurred in Hatfield Township on March 11.

Fuller was arraigned later that day by Magisterial District Judge Andrea Duffy, who set bail at $25,000 cash. He was then remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on March 25 at 1:45 p.m. in front of Judge Duffy.
