Hatfield Township has scheduled an Earth Day event and is looking for volunteers to help clean up the township
Hatfield is currently looking for volunteers to clean up the township on Sat., April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in honor of Earth Day. The actual cleanup will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a celebration with music, pizza and other activities.
Volunteers must sign up on the Sign Up Genius page. Gloves, vests, and trash bags will be provided for volunteers. The event will kick off at the township building so that volunteers can get their assignments. The celebration following the cleanup will take place at the township building.
The cleanup event is part of the Great American Cleanup, a national event put on by Keep America Beautiful. Communities and organizations across the country clean up their local area to help eliminate litter and preserve the environment.
