A Lansdale man is heading to county jail after pleading guilty to felony charges of statutory sexual assault and unlawful contact with a minor.
Nicholas Fazzolari IV, 21, of the unit block of Oakland Avenue, was sentenced to three-to-23-months in county jail by Judge Risa Vetri Ferman, followed by eight years of probation and a 25 year requirement to report his address to state police in compliance with the Pennsylvania Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, according to a report by Carl Hessler Jr. at The Reporter.
Fazzolari was also ordered to have no contact with the victim, and he cannot have unsupervised contact with minors during the course of his court supervision, the report states.
Lansdale Police were alerted to the sexual assault in September 2017, and an interview with the victim revealed that Fazzolari had made sexual contact with her multiple times over a period of years, according to reports. The abuse occurred between ages 9 and 11 for the victim, while Fazzolari was 18 and 19, the report states.
The sexual contact included inappropriate touching and other sexual activities, according to the Mercury.
As part of the plea agreement, charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of a minor were dropped. Fazzolari was facing a maximum of 10 to 20 years in prison, prior to the plea agreement.
