A North Penn High School senior has been chosen to receive a $20,000 college scholarship as a part of the Coca-Cola Scholars program.
William Wermuth is one of 150 students from across the country chosen for this honor, out of 95,715 students that applied. The applicants went through multiple stages, being narrowed down to semifinalists, finalists and winners. Wermuth was chosen because of his superior leadership, academics, service and community impact.
Along with the $20,000 scholarship to use at the college of their choice, Coca-Cola Scholars have the chance to go to Atlanta, GA for Scholars Weekend, where they will have a chance to participate in a leadership development curriculum and attend a banquet to honor their achievements.
