Dwelling Fire Reported in Towamencin Township (UPDATED)

UPDATE: March 8, 1:56 p.m. - The fire has been placed under control, and the road has been reopened. No injuries were reported. The extent of the damage, as well as the cause of the fire, is unknown at this time.

BREAKING NEWS (1:10 pm March 8):
 
North Penn Now has received reports of heavy fire coming from the second floor of a dwelling in Towamencin Township.
 
No injuries have been reported in the fire, on the 1600 block of Kriebel Road in the township. Hoses have been deployed to the rear of the house, according to reports. Towamencin, Hatfield, North Penn, Upper Gwynedd and Fairmount fire companies are responding.
 
Kriebel Road has been closed at Sumneytown Pike. Motorists should avoid the area if possible; North Penn Now will update as details emerge.
