A North Penn High School senior recently gained congressional attention for creating an award-winning app.
Neelay Velingker was chosen as a winner of the 2018 Congressional App Challenge. His app is an Android application called Kolb Library, which is a catalog that’s able to maintain thousands of books and users. Velingker was one of six Pennsylvania students and one of over 200 students nationwide chosen for the award.
Velingker created the app as a part of the Future Business Leaders of America competitive challenge. Velingker and North Penn High School business teacher Linda Westerlund will join other challenge winners to show off the app to members of congress and the coding community.
Velingker will also be awarded $250 in Amazon Web Service credits.
