The Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently held its annual State Leadership Conference in Hershey, PA and 40 North Penn High School (NPHS) FBLA team members attended to compete in various business-related events.
Thousands of students from across the state of Pennsylvania came together to compete and attend business and leadership focused workshops.
Once again, the NPHS FBLA Chapter, led by NPHS Business teacher Mrs. Linda Westerlund, did an outstanding job at the FBLA State Conference and Competitions bringing home 21 awards. Eleven students qualified to compete at the FBLA National Conference in San Antonio, Texas this summer.
Vianne Chang, one of these winners, was also just selected by the FBLA National Office to serve as an intern at the National Leadership Conference. She was selected from numerous applicants from across the United States.
At the FBLA State Competition, the NPHS FBLA team had 21 students place in the top 10 in their events and 11 students qualify to compete at the National Conference in San Antonio, Texas from June 27 to July 3.

FBLA is the largest career student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business. FBLA’s National Awards Program, commonly called competitive events, recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. Through state-based competition at the spring State Leadership Conferences, members compete in events that test their business knowledge and skills. Top winners in each state are eligible to compete for honors at the National Leadership Conference which will be held in Baltimore, MD this summer.
