A Lansdale man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Ocean City, NJ over Memorial Day weekend has been identified.
Thomas F. Gibbons Jr., 47, died at 5:33 p.m. on May 25 after he and his wife—identified as 40-year-old Stephanie Gibbons—were struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Eighth Street and Bay Avenue. Stephanie was taken via ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, where she was treated and later released, according to reports.
The driver of the vehicle—a 48-year-old female—remained at the scene, and has not been charged at this time. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to reports.
According to his obituary, Gibbons was a father of two—Grace E. and Emma C.—and spent 25 years working in engineering. His funeral mass was held on May 31 at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Sumneytown Pike in Upper Gwynedd, and he was buried at the Doylestown Cemetery in Doylestown.
