A Hatfield man is facing felony charges after he allegedly threatened to shoot up a medical facility off of County Line Road.
According to a release from the New Britain Township Police Department, police were dispatched to a medical facility on Horizon Circle at 1:19 p.m. on June 27 for a report of a threat towards the business and its employees. The release states that a man—identified as 54-year-old Richard Henning Jr.—left an angry voicemail allegedly stating “…I’m going to drive here and raise [expletive] holy hell. I’m taking guns and I’m going to start shooting [expletive] people.”
The facility was placed on lockdown for a period due to the voicemail, and Henning was later taken into custody.
As a result of the incident, Henning has been charged with felony counts of terroristic threats and criminal use of a communications facility, and misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats and harassment. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage, who set bail at 10-percent of $500,000 cash, and he was then remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail.
Henning was released several weeks later, after posting the $50,000 cash bail. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on July 30 at 1:45 p.m. in front of Judge Armitage.
