UPDATE: July 19, 11:04 a.m. - This event has been postponed due to anticipated weather. A new date for the event has not been set.
The family-friendly block party will take place on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. at the club. It will feature music, food, face painting, beverages, costumed characters, moon bounces, a dunk tank and other fun things. The event will take place rain or shine.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of. Kids 10-years-old and under are free. Tickets can be purchased directly through the club or the day of the event.
The event is meant to be a celebration for members and their families, as well as a chance for guests to see what the club is about.
According to Rick Palmerio, the manager of the Cannoneers Sportsmen’s Club, the block party began in the 1960’s, but it was brought back about 12 years ago after it stopped.
Due to Lansdale Borough regulations restricting the length of time an organization can shut down the street, this year may be the last on the street.
