Active Search Being Conducted for Endangered Missing Person in Hatfield (UPDATED)

UPDATE: July 17, 2:49 p.m. - According to our sources, the subject has been located by a member of the Montgomery Township Police Department that was assisting with the search. EMS personnel are currently evaluating the man's condition.

Hatfield Township Police are currently conducting an active search for an endangered missing person in the vicinity of Cowpath Road.

According to a statement from police, the search is focused on the “wooded nature area” near the 1600 block of Cowpath Road, and the situation poses no threat to the public. Police, with assistance from neighboring public safety agencies, are searching for a male that may be in need of assistance, the release states.

Police are asking that residents and motorists stay away from the area so that searchers can perform their jobs. According to our sources, two EMS units have staged in the area, and police are utilizing a canine unit in the search.
