Police Seeking Person of Interest in Attempted Child Luring Incident

Police are currently looking for a person of interest in connection with an incident that involved an elementary school student on Wednesday afternoon in Blue Bell.

According to a release from the Whitpain Township Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 3:41 p.m. at the corner of Sunset Avenue and Midway Lane. After a female elementary school student exited her school bus, a vehicle approached her and the driver attempted to engage in a conversation, the release states.

The vehicle is described as dark green four-door—possibly a hatchback—with a “Pokemon Squirtle” stuffed character hanging from the rear-view mirror, and the rear of the vehicle had several magnets on it. The driver is described at a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt, with a mustache and sunglasses.
