The Lansdale Police Department held its First Annual Award Recognition Ceremony last week, to celebrate the accomplishments of the department during 2018.
The awards ceremony, which took place on Jan. 16, was created in part to help shed a positive light on the police department, and reverse the national trend of only focusing on the perceived negative aspects of law enforcement, according to the press release.
The following officers were recognized for not calling out sick the entire year of 2018:
The following officers were awarded a Unit Citation of Merit for their successful apprehension of a commercial burglar:
The following officers were awarded a Unit Citation of Merit for their successful apprehension of an armed subject:
The following officers were awarded a Unit Citation of Merit for rescuing a cat that was stuck in a tree:
The following officers received an Individual Citation of Merit
The following officers were recognized for completing their schooling
Additionally, the awards ceremony wrapped up with Officer Richard Kruppenbach being recognized as the 2018 Lansdale Police Department’s Officer of the Year.
