Rebounderz to Permanently Close on Monday

A popular indoor trampoline park will close its doors for good on Monday, after being found in “severe violation” of its franchise agreement with their corporate office.

Rebounderz, located in the Hillcrest Shopping Center along the 600 block of East Main Street, will cease all operations on Jan. 21 at 8 p.m., according to an announcement on their Facebook page. The statement reads:

Rebounderz will be closing permanently on Monday, 1/21/19 at 8pm. Please stop in this long weekend and visit us for one last jump, a game of laser tag, play some arcade games or grab some munchies in our cafe......

What a great community to open a business in. While Rebounderz has been open just shy of 4 years, we have welcomed over 350,000 jumpers, helped celebrate over 4,000 birthdays and sponsored / donated to over 1,000 events, sports teams, fundraisers and charities.

My wife and I thank you for your support throughout this time. I would also like to thank the young men and woman who have worked with us at Rebounderz. For most of you it was your first job. We wish you continued success in your careers.....

The announcement comes on the heels of a confusing period just before Christmas, when their corporate office seized control of their website and announced that the Lansdale location was closing last month.

On Dec. 18, customers noticed that the following message was posted on their website:

Dear Rebounderz Lansdale Customers,

As of December 18, 2018, the Rebounderz Lansdale location will be closed for business. As a valued customer, we wanted to inform you and we wanted to take the time to thank you for being a loyal customer over the years. If you have any questions or comments regarding our business closure, please feel free to contact Rebounderz Franchise and Development here.

Sincerely,

Rebounderz Franchise and Development

Despite that message, the owners stated that they were still open for business, and have continued operating since that time.

"Lawyers are working on this issue, and hopefully [we’ll] have this resolved ASAP,” said the owner, on Dec. 21, adding that they were in a contract dispute with corporate, who owned the website.

In response to a request for comment from North Penn Now on Dec. 21, Rebounderz corporate office made the following statement:

"Rebounderz Lansdale franchisee was in severe violation of their franchise agreement and have been instructed to close for not correcting the situation with the franchisor i.e. Rebounderz. This was not an action that Rebounderz Franchise and Development took lightly and attempted to work with the Lansdale franchisee for a very extended period of time. At this time, Rebounderz Lansdale has not resolved the severe violation, in order to receive services and franchise support from Rebounderz Franchise and Development or to continue operating as a Rebounderz location. The Rebounderz Lansdale franchisee may be able to shed light on what violations that were presented to him over the past 13 months, but there are no further details that we can provide at this time on behalf of Rebounderz.” – Rebounderz Franchise and Development

North Penn Now has again requested clarification regarding the nature of the unspecified “severe violation,” though we have not received a response at this time. We will update this article if/when we receive a response.
