The former location of Airport Square’s Toys R’ Us is soon to be home to a New England-based retail store.
Ocean State Job Lot has officially purchased the space in Montgomeryville where Toys R’ Us used to be before the national chain closed last year. The new store has discounted prices on things such as clothes and apparel, home goods, and seasonal supplies. There is no word on when the store is set to open.
Marc Perlman, Principal Owner and CEO of Ocean State Job Lot, said that the closing of Toys "R" Us stores has allowed them to buy property at a great price. They were able to purchase a total of seven former Toys R’ Us locations, including Montgomeryville and two other Pennsylvania locations.
