UPDATE: Feb. 28, 5:40 p.m. - The Hatfield Township Police Department has confirmed that a pedestrian was killed early Thursday afternoon after being stuck by a SEPTA train at the Colmar Station.
The statement from Hatfield Township Police follows:
"On February 28, 2019 at 1:36 p.m., the Hatfield Township Department responded to the Colmar Train Station located at 109 Bethlehem Pike in the Colmar section of Hatfield Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania for the report of a struck pedestrian.
"Investigation on scene determined a male had been on the railroad tracks and was struck and killed by an oncoming train which was traveling eastbound as it approached the Colmar Train Station. Following impact, the train was stopped by the engineer.
"The Hatfield Township Police Department is working with the Southeastern Transportation Authority (SEPTA) on this ongoing investigation. The Hatfield Township Police Department is not releasing the name of the struck pedestrian or any additional information at this time.
"The Hatfield Township Police Department was assisted on scene by the Volunteer Medical Service Corps., the Montgomery Township Police Department, Montgomery Township Fire Police, North Wales Fire Police, Souderton Fire Police and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.

UPDATE: Feb. 28, 3:20 p.m. - North Penn Now is receiving reports that Bethlehem Pike/Route 309 has reopened to traffic in both directions in the area around the Colmar SEPTA Regional Rail Station, at Walnut Street. And
CBS3Philly is reporting at 3:40 p.m. that SEPTA rail service has resumed along the Lansdale/Doylestown Line.
UPDATE: Feb. 28, 2:38 p.m. - CBS3 is reporting that SEPTA has suspended service between Doylestown and Lansdale due to the incident. The rail line will continue to operate from Lansdale to center city, per their report.
They are also reporting that no one was on the train at the time of the incident. Police are continuing to investigate at the scene.
