Local Man Listed Among Sheriff’s Most Wanted

Juan Alberto Lopez has last known addresses in Hatfield and Lansdale.


UPDATE, Feb. 26, 3:45 p.m.:  The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office announced this afternoon that suspect Juan Alberto Lopez has been apprehended today by the Warrants Unit. No further details were released.

A local man has been listed on the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Most Wanted list, after failing to appear for a sentencing hearing in November.

Juan Alberto Lopez, 43, has a last known address of 452 South Main Street Unit E in Hatfield, and 127 Penn Street in Lansdale, according to the listing. Court records indicate that Lopez entered a non-negotiated guilty plea to a felony strangulation charge last year, but he failed to appear for his sentencing hearing on Nov. 6.

Lopez had been free on 10 percent of $10,000 bail. His bail has since been forfeited due to his failure to appear.
