Lansdale Borough Police are continuing their investigations into two separate incidents that recently occurred in the borough.
Last Sunday, police discovered the body of a deceased black male in his late 40’s inside of a home on the unit block of West Fourth Street just before noon. Though the identity of the deceased has not been released, Lansdale Borough Police Chief Michael Trail informed North Penn Now that the death—caused by a fatal overdose—was being deemed “suspicious.”
Yesterday, police executed a search warrant for narcotics at a home on West Fourth Street, though Trail would not offer comment if the home was the same as the one where they found the body.
“LPD executes a search warrant for narcotics on West Fourth Street today, following numerous complaints of drug related activity in the area,” said Trail, via Twitter. “To residents: we hear your complaints. To those who come to Lansdale to poison our community with drugs and crime: we are coming for you soon.”
Police are continuing their efforts to identify and locate the suspect responsible for a stabbing that occurred along the 600 block of South Broad Street at the Broadmore Apartment Complex on Jan. 26.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 years old, with a height of 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a thin build and wearing a dark winter coat and wool hat.
“The stabbing is still under investigation, and we encourage the public to report suspicious behavior,” said Trail, via email on Feb. 7.
The victim—a 45-year-old male— informed police that he was stabbed in the back as he was entering the M Building of the apartment complex. He has since been released from the hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery.
