Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has issued a statement following President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.
The statement reads:
"The State of the Union has historically presented a tone of optimism and bipartisanship. I am glad the president continued this tradition and conveyed a message of American prosperity and security. It is my hope that republicans and democrats will work together to combat the pressing issues facing our nation, as there is more that unites us than divides us. As was articulated tonight, it is time to put aside the politics of revenge, resistance, and retribution for the well-being of our great nation.”
Congressman Fitzpatrick is serving his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives. He represents Pennsylvania’s 1st District, which includes all of Bucks County as well as a portion of Montgomery County. He is a former FBI Supervisory Special Agent, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
