Three Beards and A Bush Make Their Underground Debut This Weekend

This weekend, local bluegrass inspired band, Three Beards & A Bush (3BAAB), will make their official Underground debut. 3BAAB has been seen hanging around the open mic nights at The Underground recently, as well as playing at various bars in the area.

If 3BAAB could be described in one word, they couldn’t. They are a hodgepodge mixture of traditional bluegrass, punkabilly and folk. If you like traditional style banjo reels, foot stomping gang vocals with a steady guitar rhythm mixed with a strong female lead vocalist that projects an “I don’t give a hoot” attitude, then this band is definitely for you. Side note, I’m pretty sure that the word “hoot” could be replaced with something far more direct.

3BAAB will be performing this Friday, Dec. 27, along with The Bad Ups and Old Town Wake. This particular show will be celebrating the life of a family member, friend and local music supporter, Jeff Childs. The world lost Jeff on Nov. 2 of this year. From the 3BAAB Facebook page, “He was well revered by so many, and turned heads everywhere he went with his beauty. You could feel the calming, loving energy just pour out of him. Jeff loved music. He was our biggest fan, and was a great supporter of many other local bands.”
