Vehicle Strikes Building at Broadmore Apartments in Lansdale (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Dec. 11, 10:20 a.m. - According to police at the scene, the driver of the striking vehicle was uninjured in the crash. Additionally, a resident who was sleeping in the apartment that was struck was also uninjured.

The vehicle has since been towed from the scene. We will continue to gather information as it becomes available.

First responders are currently on the scene of an accident with injuries at the Broadmore Apartments in Lansdale Borough.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at 9:28 a.m. along the 600 block of South Broad Street. Sources tell North Penn Now that it is a single-vehicle accident, and the vehicle crashed through the wall of the building.

There are unknown injuries at this time, though a unit from the Volunteer Medical Service Corps has been dispatched to the scene. A tow truck has been called to remove the vehicle from the building, according to our sources.

Units from the Lansdale Borough Police Department and the Fairmount Fire Company are currently on scene. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
