Bird-Repellant Propane Cannon Explosions to Occur Over Next Few Weeks in Franconia Township

For the next three weeks you may hear a loud explosion sound near the intersection of Morwood Road and Cowpath Road. There is no cause for alarm. It is a bird repellent device that is sounding. It is designed to scare away birds and other animals from crops.

It is active from 8 a.m. to about 4:30 p.m., and will sound about every 45 minutes. This will happen daily from Dec. 5 through Dec. 25.
