(Note: the following is a release from the Franconia
Township Police Department.)
For the next three weeks you may hear a loud explosion sound near the
intersection of Morwood Road and Cowpath Road. There is no cause for alarm. It
is a bird repellent
device that is sounding. It is designed to scare away birds and other
animals from crops.
It is active from 8 a.m. to about 4:30 p.m., and will sound about every 45 minutes. This will happen daily from Dec. 5 through Dec. 25.
If you have any questions please contact the office of the Franconia Township Police Department at 215-723-6777.
