Thursday Afternoon Vehicle Accident Involved Ambulance in Transport

A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main and Broad streets in Lansdale on Thursday afternoon involved an ambulance that was in the process of transporting a patient to the hospital.

According to Lansdale Borough Police Chief Michael Trail, police were dispatched to the scene at 4:53 p.m. on Aug. 22 for a report of a vehicle accident. Trail said there were two vehicles involved, and the crash was caused by an ambulance in transport striking the second vehicle.

The vehicles were safely removed from the roadway, and no road closure or lane restriction was needed. Trail added that no injuries were reported, and no charges will be filed.

The scene was cleared in roughly one hour.
