Lansdale Police Participating in ‘Operation Safe Homes’ Gun Turn-In Event

The Lansdale Borough Police Department will serve as a drop off location for the “Operation Safe Homes” gun turn-in event, scheduled for later next month.

The event is scheduled across two separate days, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 18 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 21. All unloaded firearms will be accepted, including handguns, rifles and shotguns. No bullets or magazines will be accepted. All firearms turned in will be destroyed, according to the release.

In addition to the Lansdale Borough Police Department, participation includes Abington Township, Jenkintown Borough, Lower Merion Township, Lower Salford Township, Pottstown Borough, Upper Merion Township and Whitpain Township police departments all serving as drop-off locations.
