Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle at Intersection of Valley Forge and Allentown Roads

UPDATE: Aug. 13, 12:47 p.m.: A witness at the scene told North Penn Now that a bicycle was completely wedged under the front of the vehicle. The witness added that the vehicle was being towed from the scene.

Police and emergency medical personnel are currently on the scene of a vehicle accident with a pedestrian struck in Towamencin Township.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at 11:34 a.m. at the intersection of South Valley Forge and Allentown roads. According to sources, the incident involves a single vehicle and one pedestrian, who suffered an injury to their lower extremities as a result of being struck.

Towamencin Township Police and Lansdale Volunteer Medical Services Corps are currently on the scene. The cause of the crash and the extent of the pedestrian's injuries are currently unknown.

One source indicated that the pedestrian was riding a bike at the time of the crash, but we have been unable to confirm.
