Well Crafted to Celebrate One Year Anniversary on Saturday

“Come have some fun! Well Crafted is turning 1!”

That’s the motto for this Saturday’s event, as Lansdale’s Well Crafted Beer Company readies itself for its first birthday celebration.

Beginning at 2 p.m., guests will be treated to live musical performances by four different bands and artists, and they’ll also get to try out two new specialty brews created just for the occasion.

To date, Well Crafted has brewed 93 different beers over their first year, with Blonde Americano, Orange Colored Sky and Mother of Perle leading the way sales-wise. Flights have been their most requested item throughout their first year, with marketing manager Nica Bellenger saying they are a great way to try a variety of styles before committing to a pint.

Additionally, one-third of all beers brewed were IPA's, making it collectively the highest selling style of beer produced by the Well Crafted Beer Company.

On the specialty brew end, Well Crafted will debut their 8.1-percent First Anniversary Double IPA with Galaxy and Citra. They’re also offering a limited, small batch of Bourbon Barrel-aged Breakfast Pajamas, which is an 11.1-percent Imperial Stout conditioned on cacao, coffee and maple syrup, aged in Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels.

“Layers of coffee and chocolate meld seamlessly with beautifully bold notes of oaky brown sugar, anise seed and vanilla,” said Bellenger.

On the music side:

Mojo and the Helper Monkeys, a Philadelphia band with an upright bass, banjo, guitar and vocals, will be performing from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Bellenger said the band typically plays covers from Johnny Cash, AC/DC and Elvis, with influences ranging from Motown to Hard Rock.

• Andy Russell, a diverse, crowd-pleasing vocalist, will perform from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Russell performs a wide variety of songs from hip hop to country, and Bellenger said that guests won’t want to miss it.

J Liberio, a vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, will take the stage from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Liberio uses a loop pedal to create his own songs on the fly, and draws inspiration from artists such as Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Chris Cornell and Adam Levine.

In addition to those three bands, the event will also see the musical debut and one-time performance of The Growling Crowlers, who are composed solely by Well Crafted Staff.

North Penn Now would like to congratulate everyone at the Well Crafted Beer Company for a tremendous job in their first year of business!
