Doylestown Brewing to Open Tasting Room in Lansdale Next Month

The Pavilion Shopping Center on South Broad Street in Lansdale will soon have a new tenant, as Doylestown Brewing Company has announced they will be opening a tasting room in mid-to-late September.

The tasting room, located at 527 South Broad Street, in the former location of Bagelworks, will serve a variety of Pennsylvania wines, beers, spirits and coffee. And for the Modestine family, who owns Doylestown Brewing Company, the new location will serve as a calling home.

“We consider Lansdale our hometown,” said Theresa Modestine, 61, of Worcester. “We have been part of its community for over 28 years. The area also is very focused on family and its people have a great loyalty to Lansdale, and we appreciate and welcome that.”

Modestine said that the tasting room will provide a friendly atmosphere with a wide selection of beers, wines, craft cocktails and more. During the mornings, the location will serve as a coffee shop of sorts, with selections from Backyard Beans, Nitro Coffee and others.

“We are very excited to be part of this wonderful community,” said Modestine. “On the weekends, we will offer live music, and hopefully an open mic night during the week for all the great local musicians in the area.”

Though the new location will not have a full menu, Modestine said there will be a very small appetizer/snacking menu available. Additionally, guests are encouraged to bring their own food.

“Our bar is centrally located to many wonderful establishments that offer take out,” said Modestine. “We invite you to bring your take out into our business and nosh out while drinking your favorite beverage. Bring your own casserole if you like.”

Modestine added that at some point, they plan to add food runners for the local shops, so customers can stay inside the tasting room and have their food brought to them. Another unique aspect of the location will be that they will be offering canning of many of their beers on tap, so guests will be able to pickup and take out their favorite beverages.
