Both events are for township residents only.

Electronic Recycling Event

The Electronic Recycling Event is being made possible through eForce Compliance, a certified electronic recycling company.

eForce is accepting anything with a plug, including laptops, mice, telephones, small appliances, cameras, fax machines, cell phones, keyboards, printers, etc. Smoke detectors, batteries and large appliances will not be accepted. All data media will be destroyed.

Please note that eForce charges a $30 fee per TV or computer monitor, a $100 fee per projection or wooden console TV, and a $10 fee per dehumidifier, air conditioner and microwave. All other items will be recycled for free.

This event will be held rain or shine.

Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

The Arbor Day Tree Giveaway event is nationally celebrated as a day to promote the benefits of planting a tree to positively impact the community environment.

Each Montgomery Township household will receive one free tree on a first come first serve basis, with 12 varieties to choose from.

The tree varieties are as follows: Red Maple, Serviceberry, River Birch, Eastern Redbud, Flowering Dogwood, Eastern Red Cedar, Sweetbay Magnolia, Black Gum, Sycamore, White Oak, Swamp White Oak, and Bald Cypress.

Township staff, landscape architects and volunteers—including members from the Shade Tree Commission—will be on hand at the Community & Recreation Center parking lot to provide tree selection and maintenance advice to the residents.

The township would also like to encourage residents to participate in the Leaf & Yard Waste Spring Pick-up scheduled for this Saturday, as well. Please have all of the leaf & yard waste placed in paper bio-degradable leaf bags and out by the curb on the night before the pick-up. If the yard waste is not in a paper bio-degradable bag, or does not fit in your paper bio-degradable bag, it cannot be accepted.

Montgomery Township also a hosts a monthly Leaf & Yard Waste Drop-off at William F. Maule Park at Windlestrae. A list of all 2019 drop-off dates is available at www.montgomerytwp.org.
