A Long Island man has been arrested following an investigation that allegedly revealed he had made multiple trips to Hilltown to have sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Matthew Veltri, 26, has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, corruption of minors and criminal use of communication facility, in connection with the investigation. He was arrested on Apr. 17.
According to police, Veltri visited Hilltown three separate times in March to meet the girl and have sex. Veltri and the girl met online via social media, the release states
In New York, Nassau County Police executed a search warrant on Veltri’s home, where they allegedly discovered child pornography. As a result, Veltri faces charges in both Pennsylvania and New York. He was arraigned in Hempstead, NY on Apr. 19 and was remanded to jail on the New York charges.
Currently, Veltri is waiting for extradition to Pennsylvania on the Bucks County charges.
