As we head into the warmer months, men and women across the North Penn region will be looking to perfect and tighten their beach bodies for the summer. One local personal trainer is confident that she can help in that quest.
Carlee Myers Personal Training, located at 1001 North Broad Street in Lansdale, specializes in core strengthening, weight loss, and strength and conditioning, with an added focus on education and safety. Myers has a bachelor’s degree in exercises physiology, as well as certifications from the American Aerobic Association International, American Fitness Professionals and Associates, and is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.
Prior to launching her own business two years ago, Myers spent years working at a local physical therapy institute.
“While I loved the physical therapy field, I wanted to take people to the next level of fitness,” said Myers. “Now I help people see what they're capable of, which usually carries to parts of their life outside of the gym.”
Myers currently trains 25 to 30 active clients each week, via one-on-one and small group training, couples and family workouts, youth fitness and sports performance. Aside from her experience in physical therapy, Myers also has experience as a group exercise instructor and has coached age-group and college swimming for more than 15 years.
“I love this type of work,” said Myers. “Everyone is different, every day is different. I get to motivate people and watch them progress and be a part of something life changing. Helping people see that they can be successful and reach some goals—big or small—is incredibly satisfying.”
