The Hatfield Township Police Department has announced the arrest of 42-year-old Michael Keiner, of Horsham, in connection with a strangulation incident that occurred last November.
Keiner is charged with one felony count of strangulation, along with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and unlawful restraint causing serious bodily injury, in connection with the incident.
An arrest warrant was issued by Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine on Nov. 30, 2018, but Keiner evaded capture for over four months. Then, on April 15, police received word that Keiner had been taken into custody in Jacksonville, Florida.
Keiner will now be extradited to Pennsylvania to face the charges. His preliminary arraignment is pending his extradition. Details of the incident will become available once his preliminary arraignment has occurred.
(Editor's note: All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. Should the defendant choose to issue a public statement, or is later found not guilty or has the charges dropped, we will update this article accordingly.)
