Permit and Business Applications in Lansdale Show Year Over Year Increase

As Lansdale Borough continues its push for growth and revitalization, another encouraging sign has come from code enforcement via a significant uptick in permits and applications.

According to Lansdale Borough Code Enforcement and Land Planning Committee Chairman Jack Hansen,  the department processed a total of 80 permits and new business applications throughout the month of March. That represents a substantial increase year-over-year, as the department only processed 49 during the same period of 2018.

Year-to-date comparisons between 2019 and 2018 continue to show similar growth, according to Hansen, with 240 total permits and new business applications being processed this year, in comparison with only 129 over the same period of 2018.

The new applications for March 2019 include:

  • A medical massage office located at 100 West Main Street
  • A financial services office located at 5 North Cannon Avenue
  • A construction firm occupy 223-229 South Broad Street
  • A distributor located at 34 West Fifth Street
  • A commercial printer located at 1000 North Cannon Avenue
