Hatfield Man Arrested in Domestic Violence Incident

The Hatfield Township Police Department has announced the arrest of 30-year-old Adam McCann in connection with a domestic violence incident that occurred on Sunday morning.

According to the report, members of the Hatfield Township Police Department responded to the 500 block of South Main Street for a reported domestic disturbance in progress. An investigation by the officers concluded that McCann had physically assaulted a woman who resided with him, the report states. McCann also allegedly has possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

McCann is now facing a misdemeanor charge of simple assault, along with additional charges of harassment, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, false imprisonment, terroristic threats and two counts of indecent assault. He was arraigned in front of Magesterial District Judge Michael P. Quinn, and was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post $50,000 bail.
