Knights of Honor to Induct Three New Members

North Penn School District will induct three community members who have made an impact in their communities and careers into the Knights of Honor Hall of Fame for 2018.

The ceremony will be held in North Penn High School’s auditorium tonight at 6 p.m. Inductees include community members who have made an impact in the North Penn area and beyond. The ceremony is open to the public.  Following the reception, there will be a reception in the concourse, where the inductees will be unveiled on the Wall of Fame. Light refreshments will also be served.

This year’s inductees are Rick Carroll, who is a former NPSD teacher, swim coach and aquatics director; Cindy Louden, who is a former NPSD teacher and theatre director; and Yolanda Wisher, who was a graduate of the NPHS Class of 1994 and the 2016-2017 Poet Laureate of Philadelphia.

The Sixth Grade Bridle Path Vocal Ensemble, directed by Michael Klenk, will perform the National Anthem and the North Penn High School Alma Mater. Selma Robinson, Andrea Lee Roney, Debra Buckner and Janet Kratz will give remarks about each of the inductees.

The Knights of Honor program was started in the 2015-2016 school year during the school district’s 50th anniversary. The goal of the program is to highlight the contributions of those in the community who have made a difference in the community or their career field while inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
