North Wales Swears-In New Police Chief

North Wales has sworn in a new police chief, following the retirement of Chief Don Fantry at the end of May.

Michael Eves was sworn in as the newest chief of North Wales at the Oct. 9 North Wales Borough council meeting. The meeting was followed by a reception.

According to the Reporter, Eves previously served on the Cheltenham Police Department for 27 years, most recently serving as a detective sergeant. He had also served as an accreditation officer.

"Over the past five years, we have really been working to make sure that the police department does not stay in a mode of status quo,” Mayor Greg D'Angelo to the Reporter. “The past two chiefs have raised the bar, each one. Now we have Mike, who's going to raise it even higher — especially since he's taller than the other two."
