In addition to the 2018 Discover Lansdale Chili Cook-off, the Fall Harvest First Friday festivities also included a highly-creative scarecrow decorating contest.

That contest was won by Jennifer Burnley and her staff at Scent and Sip, for their “Pumpkin Spice Girl” entry. A close second place went to Stephanie Keer, of Boutique Tres Bien, for her “Jilted Bride” submission named Eleanor.

Additional entries came from Rebecca Thompson, of RKT Solutions, Dan Eichinger, of Dogtown, Bill Henning, of Henning’s Trains, Barb Moloney, of Stove and Tap, and Andrew Carroll, of Round Guys Brewery. Those scarecrows will be placed outside of the Lansdale Freight House for the upcoming Octoberfest and Frachthaus Zer0.5K celebration, scheduled for Oct. 27.
