Coyotes Spotted in Towamencin Again

Another coyote sighting has occurred in Towamencin Township, this time in between Kerr and Schlosser Roads in the vicinity of Kibler Meadows.

The township announced on Facebook that a resident had notified them of the recent sighting, which comes almost three months after the property manager for Morgandale notified their residents about multiple coyote sightings in the area.

According to the statement, when coyotes are spotted in residential settings, they are usually in search of food and are known to feed on garbage. Residents are reminded to tightly secure their trash and place it inside a closed can or receptacle, and that coyotes generally avoid humans unless they are provoked.

The release adds that residents should not feed the coyotes, let pets run loose or unattended, or run from the coyote if spotted.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Commission is asking that you contact them directly if you see any unusual behavior. Additionally, the township requests that residents immediately report any aggressive or fearless coyotes.
