In advance of this year’s busy holiday season, a North Wales photographer will be holding a puppy fashion show on “Giving Tuesday” to help a local dog rescue.
Kristen Kidd of Kristen Kidd Photography will host a Puppy Fashion Show to benefit Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue in her studio on Nov. 27 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The studio is located at 403 E. Walnut St. in North Wales. Round Guys Brewery will be serving beer, and there will also be wine and small food items served.
The show will feature women wearing clothing from Lansdale’s Boutique Tres Bien, walking the runway with puppies who are available for adoption. The fashion show is free, but donations are welcome. Clothing will be available for sale with 20 percent of the proceeds going to Harley’s Haven Dog Rescue.
“I’m constantly considering how I can connect community members, businesses and good causes to engage the community and do the most good,” Kidd said.
Dogs who are walking in the fashion show will be available for adoption, and attendees are welcome to fill out adoption papers the night of the show for the puppy they want to adopt.
Kidd specifically scheduled this event to be held on “Giving Tuesday” to give attendees a tangible way to make a difference, especially in a world where everything is digitalized and intangible.
“The show will feature women wearing clothing from Lansdale’s Boutique Tres Bien walking the runway with puppies who are available for adoption,” Kidd said. “In a world in which even giving has become sterile and mechanized, this event gushes with warm fuzzy feelings.”
